Do Not be Afraid
2 Kings 6:16 So he answered, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”
We all face challenges. Many end up comparing their challenge or pain with others and end up feeling cheated by God or life and feeling sorry for themselves. What we see or perceive with our natural senses becomes the entirety of what we understand. Fear, based only on what we know can take hold and cause panic and despair.
Much of the advertising industry – especially in the area of politics – is based on arousing this fear and manipulating peoples responses accordingly. We have seen entire campaigns based on the premise that if you vote for the other side, they will take your money, your liberty and your security – so you really have no choice but to vote for us.
But there is another dimension that is unseen by the natural eyes – it is supernatural. You are not in the fight alone. The Lord has sent His armies to fight for you in the unseen realm. This is a big part of what the Apostle Paul was talking about when he said there were things that God has prepared for us that we could not see, perceive or imagine.
Do not let fear manipulate you. Let the Word cause faith to arise and begin to trust and see what God has set up for you in the supernatural realm. He did NOT give you a spirit of fear but of power, of love and of a sound mind.
